How much does a boiler repair cost?
The call-out is £150 and includes attendance plus the first hour of labour on site. After the first hour, labour is £75 per hour or part hour. If a part is needed, you get a fixed price before it's fitted — you never pay for a part you haven't approved.
Can you repair my boiler brand?
Yes. We repair Vaillant, Worcester Bosch, Ideal, Baxi, Potterton, and Viessmann. We carry common parts — ignition, pumps, diverter valves, diaphragms, sensors — on the van, so most repairs finish in a single visit.
Is a leaking boiler dangerous?
It can be. Water near electrical components is a hazard, and a leak can cause property damage. Turn the boiler off, isolate the water if you can, and book an engineer. If you smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 immediately.
How long does a boiler repair take?
Most common faults are fixed within the first hour. If a part needs ordering, we'll quote the cost and lead time before proceeding. You're only charged for the time and parts actually needed.
Do you offer a warranty on repairs?
Parts supplied and installed by us carry a 12-month warranty. Labour to re-fit a failed warranted part is covered too. The warranty doesn't cover pre-existing defects, misuse, or third-party interference.
Why is my boiler losing pressure?
Pressure drops are usually caused by a leak on the heating circuit (often hidden under a floor), a passing pressure relief valve, or a flat expansion vessel. Why do I have no hot water?
Common causes include a diverter valve fault on combi boilers, a failed plate heat exchanger, low system pressure, or a boiler lockout. If a fault code is showing, note it down — it tells the engineer exactly which subsystem to check first. See our no hot water guide for more.
Why do I have heating but no hot water (or vice versa)?
On a combi, a stuck diverter valve is the most common cause — it's not switching between heating and hot water modes. On a system or heat-only boiler with a cylinder, a stuck motorised valve or cylinder thermostat may be the issue. A Gas Safe engineer can diagnose and replace the failed component.
What does a boiler fault code mean?
A fault code is the boiler's way of telling you which subsystem has a problem — but the same code means different things on different brands.
